A 5 Day Course in Hypnotic Birth Preparation

This is a class for health professionals who wish to learn the principles of hypnosis and positive suggestion for their expectant clients. Students who are already certified in hypnosis will learn how to better use what they know in order to help pregnant women and their husbands/birth partners to bond with their baby and move through the sacred journey of pregnancy in a calm, confident, and alert manner.

Ajamu James Ayinde, M.A., A.C.H. Ajamu is a Certified Medical Hypnotherapist and Transpersonal Hypnotherapy Trainer. Ajamu received a B.A. in Asian Studies from Trinity College emphasizing multicultural education and performing arts and received his M.A. in Motivational Psychology from Huntington Pacific University which identified the mental skills of Olympians and other elite athletes. He became a Certified a Hypnotherapist in 1995 and has been trained in all the therapeutic applications of Hypnosis, including Hypnoanesthesia, and Past Life Regression. He is a certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and a Neuro-Linguistic Healing Trainer. His current areas of specialization include childbirth preparation, pediatric applications, athletic performance, and psycho-oncology. Ajamu’s parents used self-hypnosis to facilitate his birth in 1968. He began teaching the Awakened Birth ™ system to other Hypnotherapists at conventions in 2002 and has taught hypnosis across the US and in Calgary and London. Ajamu was the 2004 International Association of Counselors and Therapists (IACT) Therapist of the Year and in 2017 was honored by the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists (NATH) with the Most Unique Contribution award for providing in-home Pre and Post-natal hypnosis support to families throughout the Tri-State area.
